Training and Capacity-Building
We offer training to strengthen the ability of teams and organisations in order to address complex mental health and psychosocial issues. Under Dutch supervision we work with Ukrainian professionals with a background in psychology, covering topics such as trauma-informed care, stress management and culturally sensitive communication. The training is tailored to social and healthcare professionals, reception centres, schools, public health services (GGD), mental health services (GGZ), and Ukrainian displaced persons living in the Netherlands.
Training and Capacity-Building
We offer training to strengthen the ability of teams and organisations in order to address complex mental health and psychosocial issues. Under Dutch supervision we work with Ukrainian professionals with a background in psychology, covering topics such as trauma-informed care, stress management and culturally sensitive communication. The training is tailored to social and healthcare professionals, reception centres, schools, public health services (GGD), mental health services (GGZ), and Ukrainian displaced persons living in the Netherlands.
For organisations
Cultural sensitivity training
This training focuses on enhancing cultural awareness and competency in working with displaced Ukrainians. After completing our introductory module on cultural sensitivity and cross-cultural communication with Ukrainian displaced persons, attendees can choose from additional in-depth modules to further expand their knowledge and skills based on organisational or individual needs. The Empatia team has conducted this training over 50 times.

Training to help educators and social workers support displaced families and children, with a focus on cultural differences in parenting.

Workshops
Workshops are free to attend, take 2-3 hours, and are organised at flexible times.
We decide on the type and the subject of our workshops together with displaced people. All workshops are held in Ukrainian.
